Congratulations and welcome to FTD Mercury! FTD Mercury is a complete Windows-based business tool that allows you to communicate easily with other florists and FTD Headquarters through the Mercury Network. FTD Mercury also automates other areas of your store, such as your customer database and the products you sell in your store.
FTD Mercury allows you to:
- Send and receive Mercury orders and messages
- Store all incoming and outgoing Mercury orders and messages in a message log
- Reconcile wire orders
- Search for and reply to Mercury messages
- Perform faster and easier florist and facility searches
- Create customer and product databases
- Use Microsoft Office to merge customer and recipient information for direct mail and marketing purposes
- Create and maintain customer house accounts—including printing, emailing, and faxing statements
- Process orders through Order Entry and Point of Sale
- Process orders and manage your cash drawer through Point of Sale
- Maintain customer credit cards and perform settlements on credit card transactions
- Automate billing functions and print customer statements
- Export general ledger files to third party accounting software
- Create and maintain delivery routes
- Extract your customer information to create direct mail or email marketing campaigns

- Press F1 to display a help page for most windows within FTD Mercury.
- Open Merc Tech U by clicking the question mark (?) button in the lower left corner of the FTD Mercury Main Menu. You can also visit it by opening your Web browser to floristwiki.ftdi.com.
- Click Contents on the Help menu to open to the FTD Mercury online help table of contents on Merc Tech U.
