Existing Mercury Direct Customers

To upgrade your current version of Mercury Direct to Mercury Direct 5.0:

  1. Click here to download the Mercury Direct 5.0 installer.
  2. Close out of both Mercury Direct and the Mercury Direct Control Panel.
  3. Double-click on the MercuryDirectSetup.exe that you just downloaded.
  4. When you see a message thanking you for choosing to install Mercury Direct, click OK.
  5. If you receive a message that the Microsoft .NET Framework needs to be installed, click Yes.
    1. You will see a message that the Microsoft .NET Framework installation is starting. Click Yes.
    2. On the first panel of the wizard, click Next.
    3. On the End-User License Agreement panel, read and accept the license agreement. Click Install.
    4. When the installation is done, click Finish.
  6. On the Mercury Direct 5.0 Install Welcome panel, click Next.
  7. On the Previous Technology Selection panel, select your previous technology or Other/None. Click Next.
  8. On the License Agreement panel, read the agreement and click I Accept. The installation begins.
  9. When the installation finishes, click Next.
  10. On the final panel, click Finish.
  11. When the Mercury Direct Control Panel opens, enter

New Mercury Direct Customers

To install Mercury Direct if you are not a current Mercury Direct customer:

  1. Click here to download the Mercury Direct 5.0 installer.
  2. Double-click on the MercuryDirectSetup.exe that you just downloaded.
  3. When you see a message thanking you for choosing to install Mercury Direct, click OK.
  4. If you receive a message that the Microsoft .NET Framework needs to be installed, click Yes.
    1. You will see a message that the Microsoft .NET Framework installation is starting. Click Yes.
    2. On the first panel of the wizard, click Next.
    3. On the End-User License Agreement panel, read and accept the license agreement. Click Install.
    4. When the installation is done, click Finish.
  5. On the Mercury Direct 5.0 Install Welcome panel, click Next.
  6. On the Previous Technology Selection panel, select your previous technology or Other/None. Click Next.
  7. On the License Agreement panel, read the agreement and click I Accept. The installation begins.
  8. When the installation finishes, click Next.
  9. On the final panel, ensure the box to start the Mercury Direct Control Panel is selected, and click Finish.
  10. When the Mercury Direct Control Panel launches, click the Edit tab (if it is not already selected).
    1. In the Account ID field, enter the Account ID provided to you by the Mercury Technology Assistance Center.
    2. In the Account User ID field, enter the user ID provided to you by the Mercury Technology Assistance Center.
    3. In the Password field, enter the password provided to you by the Mercury Technology Assistance Center.
    4. In the Confirm Password field, reenter your password.
    5. Select Internet Connectivity.
  11. Click the ISP tab. In the Internet Connection Type area, click Permanent.
  12. Click the Validate tab (if it is not visible, click the right arrow button a few times to display it). Remove the check mark from the Validate your ISP connection prior to using it box.
  13. Click Apply.
  14. If you receive a security alert asking if you want to keep blocking the Mercury Direct Control Panel, click Unblock.
  15. The Mercury Direct Main Menu opens. At this point, you may want to send a test message to validate you are online.
