Microsoft has released a number of patches in the last 24 hours that your system may have downloaded. As a result of these updates you may be receiving an error on your systems "Server cannot execute your request".

This issue can be resolved by restarting the server or following the below steps.

  1. Click Start
  2. Click Run
  3. Type "cmd" in the box and hit Enter
  4. A black box should appear, type the following without quotes "net stop mssqlserver"
  5. When this command completes type "net start mssqlserver"
  6. Close the box
  7. You should now be able to do a Mercury Startup
