The Event Planner can access abbreviation codes entered in Mercury Administration to help you enter common locations for events more quickly. For example, if you have a church or banquet hall you commonly serve for events, you may want to enter it as an abbreviation code in Mercury Administration. You will then be able to search for the code when adding locations to events.

To search for an abbreviation code:

  1. On the Locations screen, when adding or editing an event, click the search button (...) next to the Location Name field. The Abbreviation Code Lookup screen opens.
  2. Enter the abbreviation code you are searching for and click Search. Alternatively, leave the Abbreviation Code field blank and click Search to show all abbreviation codes in your system.
  3. Click the name of the location from the results list. You are returned to the Locations screen with location information filled in based on the abbreviation code.
