Tax Changes Required for Canadian FTD Mercury Systems on 1-July-2010
From FloristWiki
Both British Columbia and Ontario have enacted legislation to use the harmonized sales tax (HST). This change is effecting on 1-July-2010. Additionally, Nova Scotia is changing its HST rate, also effective 1-July-2010. As a result, all Canadian florists using FTD Mercury need to change tax rates in their systems to ensure the collection of proper taxes on orders delivered in these provinces and territories. Please consult your local taxing authority for the correct rates to use for taxes.
Follow the correct set of instructions based on your province/territory:
- British Columbia
- Nova Scotia
- Ontario
- All Other Canadian Provinces/Territories (Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Yukon) - English
- Tous Autres Provinces Canadiennes ou Territoires (Alberta, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Prince Edward Island, Québec, Saskatchewan, Yukon) - Français
