Updates will occasionally be available for you to download from your wireless phones. You are notified on your phone when an update is available. You must first uninstall the existing software, and then install the update. You will have to perform this procedure on each of your delivery confirmation wireless phones.
To uninstall the earlier version of etrace software and update to the new version:
- Press the menu button on the phone.
- Highlight the Java Apps menu and press OK.
- Highlight etrace and press the menu button on the phone.
- Select Deinstall and press OK.
- At the Are You Sure confirmation, press Yes.
- If you receive a message that Power loss may destroy additional apps, press OK.
- Once there are green check marks next to the steps, press Done.
- In the Java Apps menu, highlight Download Apps and press OK.
- Highlight Subscriptions and then press Select.
- Move down on the list until you see Gearworks etrace, highlight it, and press Select.
- Press Get It.
- If you receive a warning message, press Get It. If you receive a memory error, press Main.
- Press Exit to exit the Download Apps menu.
- In the Java Apps menu, highlight etrace and then press OK. The program then installs.
- Press Done when the install is complete.
- Highlight etrace and then press OK.
Your phone software is now upgraded. Follow any additional prompts if required. Enter your PIN number and then press the Login button to log in.
