Working with Pushpins

Pushpins provide an easily accessible way to link unverified orders or add stops to your route that are not for order deliveries. You can create pushpins that appear on the map in a variety of ways. When viewing pushpins, you can access the following information: the title or name (generally the first line of the address), and a read- only address.

Once a pushpin is created, the stop is added to the route and turn by turn directions are updated. In the route tab, the stop number, recipient field (in this case the title/name of the pushpin), and the address are displayed.

When right-clicking the pushpin, you can link an order if there are unverified address orders, or save the pushpin. All other menu items are disabled.

To create a custom pushpin by finding the address on the map:

  1. In either the Create Routes or Saved Routes window, type an address in the Go To Address bar.
  2. Click Enter.
    A matched address is returned.
  3. Right-click the address on the map and select Save pushpin.
  4. If the title or name of the pushpin is blank, supply a name.
    The pushpin is saved.

To create a custom pushpin by dropping a pushpin on the map:

  1. In either the Create Routes or Saved Routes window, select the drop down arrow by the pushpin icon on the toolbar.
  2. Drop the pushpin on the map in the appropriate location.
The latitude and longitude is returned and supplied in the Go To Address box.
  3. Right-click the pushpin on the map and select Save for Future Use.
  4. Optionally, if the title or name of the pushpin is blank, supply a name.
If a name is not supplied, the pushpin name will be set to the street address.
    The push pin is saved.

To link a pushpin:

  1. In either the Create Routes or Saved Routes window, either select Link order from the right click menu of the action icon or select the Link Order button.
A window appears that displays orders with unverified addresses that are not linked.
The order number, recipient name, and delivery address is displayed for each unlinked order.
  2. Select an order from the list.
    The pushpin is linked.

To remove a cusroute stop associated to a custom pushpin:

  1. In the Routes tab, select the pushpin entry.
  2. Click the X button in the right-hand side of the pane.
The pushpin is removed from the map and the turn by turn directions are updated to reflect the removal.

To view a saved pushpin:

  1. In either the Create Routes or Saved Routes window, select the drop down arrow from the pushpin icon in the toolbar.
  2. View the list of saved pushpins.

To edit a saved pushpin:

  1. In either the Create Routes or Saved Routes window, select the drop down arrow from the pushpin icon in the toolbar.
  2. Navigate to the pushpin you want to edit.
  3. Select Edit from the pushpin menu.
  4. Edit the name/title of the pushpin.
If the Name/Title field is blank, the following error message will appear: “Name/Title cannot be blank.”
  5. Click Save.
The new name is saved for future use of the pushpin. The new name is not applied to any instances of the saved pushpin that have already been added to the map or to any routes.

  2. Navigate to the pushpin you want to delete.
  3. Select Delete from the pushpin menu.
Deleting a saved pushpin will not delete any instances of that pushpin tha thave already been added ot the map or to any routes.
    The pushpin is deleted.
