Authorizing the Credit Card

The card is authorized after the card details have been entered. You do not need to perform any actions to authorize the card.

If the card is authorized, an approved message appears from the Credit Card Authorization In Progress screen. If the card is not approved, a declined or error message appears depending on the reason the card was not approved.

If a declined message appears, you can either swipe or manually enter the card details again, or complete the transaction with an alternate card. If an error message appears, you must close the application and begin the transaction again.

Capturing the Cardholder Signature

From the Signature Capture screen, you can capture the cardholder’s signature after the credit card is authorized.

To capture the cardholder's signature:

  1. Have the cardholder sign with their finger.
  2. If the cardholder is not satisfied with the signature, tap Clear to clear out the signature and have the cardholder sign again.
  3. Once the cardholder is satisfied with the signature, tap save to save the signature and proceed to the SMS and Email Entry screen.

Sending a Receipt

After the payment for the transaction is complete, the SMS and Email Entry screen appears. You can send a receipt to the customer’s supplied phone or email address.

To send a receipt:

  1. Toggle the slider to the right for the type of receipt you would like to send. You can send a text receipt to the customer’s phone or a receipt to the customer’s email address.
  2. Provide the customer’s phone number or email address. If your device allows, you can enter multiple email addresses.
  3. Tap Save to send the selected receipts or Skip if the customer does not require a receipt.
