Mercury Administration: Mercury Connection Screen

If you are setting up your system to use the Internet to send and receive orders, the Mercury Connection screen allows you to enter your Internet account information. In previous releases of FTD Mercury, this information could be found in the Account and Host tabs of the Connection Settings option.

It is strongly suggested to use this option only with the assistance of the Mercury Technology Assistance Center.

You can configure the following settings on this screen:

Setting Category Setting Description
Communication Method This is always set to Internet Access.
Internet Settings
MNAPI Credentials
In FTD Mercury X5 and above, this category is known as MNAPI Credentials. Prior to X5, this category was known as Account Information under Internet Settings.
Account ID Enter the account ID number that was provided to you by FTD.
Account User ID Enter the Account User ID that was provided to you by FTD.
Account Password Enter the account password that was provided to by FTD. Asterisks (*****) will mask the password as you type.
Confirm Password Enter your password again to confirm it.
Internet Settings
EAPI Credentials
This category is available in FTD Mercury X5 and above.
EAPI User ID Enter the EAPI User ID number that was provided to you by FTD.
EAPI Password Enter the EAPI user ID password that was provided to you by FTD.
Confirm Password Enter your password again to confirm it.
Host Settings
Primary Host Address

FTD Mercury X5 and above:
MNAPI Host Address
This is the address where your system sends and receives your orders and messages. You should not change the value in this field unless directed to by a Mercury Technology Assistance Center (MTAC) representative.
Secondary Address

FTD Mercury X5 and above:
EAPI Host Address
This is a backup address to use if there is an interruption with the Primary Host Address, or in FTD Mercury X5 and above, the EAPI Host Address. You should not change the value in this field unless directed to by a Mercury Technology Assistance Center (MTAC) representative.
Host Port Type 80 in this field, unless otherwise instructed by FTD Mercury Support.
Polling Interval Enter how often your system will dial out to send and receive any waiting orders or messages.
Blackout Begin Enter the time the blackout period starts.
Blackout End Enter the time the blackout period is to end.
Time Settings
Current Time Zone Your current time zone. If this is incorrect, click Change Time Zone to set the value to the correct time zone.
Current Time Your current time. If this is incorrect, click Change Time to set your time.


Accessing the Mercury Connection Screen

To access the Email screen in Mercury Administration:

  1. Launch Mercury Administration.
  2. Double-click Mercury Administration in the explorer pane.
  3. Double-click the Communications folder.
  4. Double-click Mercury Connection. The Mercury Connection screen opens.
