Opening Balance Window

This window opens when you click Opening Balance in the main Point of Sale screen. Before beginning a Point of Sale session, you must enter an opening balance. The FTD Mercury system will use the opening balance at the time of Z-Out to calculate the amount of overage or underage in the drawer.

Enter your login name and password for authorization, and then enter the opening balance for the drawer.

Once the Point of Sale session has been opened, the Opening Balance button changes to the XOut/Z-Out button.
