Mercury Direct: Answering a Question (ANS Message)

The Answer message allows you to respond to a question, comment, or price change. Answer messages are only to be used to respond to Ask Messages.
To create an Answer message:
- On the Mercury Direct Main Menu, click Answer a Question. The Answer a Question screen opens.
- Click the magnifying glass icon next to the Order Number field. The Message Search window opens.
- In the Message Search window, from the Message Type list, select ASK. Click Search.
- When you locate the ASK message that you are replying to, highlight the message, and then click Select. The Answer a Question screen will reappear with most of the information completed for you.
- From the Reason Type list, select your reason for sending this message.
- In the Reason or Note Text field, add notes as needed.
- If you are responding to a price change, type the new price in the New Price field to confirm the price change. Otherwise leave this field blank.
- In the Operator field, enter your name.
- Click Submit to send the message during the next Mercury Direct Communications session.
