The Your Messages area displays messages from FTD that are sent directly to your Dashboard. These are not GENeral or any other type of Mercury Messages. When you look at the Your Messages area, the date, sender, and subject line are displayed.

To view the text of a Dashboard message: Double-click on the message in the Your Messages area. The message opens in the Your Message window, from which you can read it and, if desired, delete it.

Printing Dashboard Messages

You can easily print Dashboard messages from the Your Message window, enabling you to keep a hard copy of any message.

To print a copy of a Dashboard message:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Your Messages area, double-click on the message you want to print. The Your Message window opens.
  2. Click Print.

The message prints to your default Windows printer.

Deleting Dashboard Messages

Although Dashboard messages are automatically removed after 60 days, you may want to clear out some messages sooner than that. You can do so in two ways: from the main Dashboard window, as well as from the Your Message window.

NOTE: To delete messages, the logged in user must have rights to delete messages (as set in the Window Access screen in Mercury Administration).

Deleting Messages from the Dashboard Main Window

You can quickly delete one or more messages from the Dashboard main window.

To delete messages from the Dashboard main window:

  1. On the Dashboard, in the Your Messages area, click the check box for the message or messages you want to delete.
  2. Click the delete button in the Your Messages header row.

The message or messages are removed from the Your Messages area.

Deleting Messages from the Your Message Window

To delete an individual message from the Your Message window:

  1. On the Dashboard, click the message you want to delete from the Your Messages area. The Your Message window opens.
  2. Click Delete.

The Your Message window closes and the message is removed from the Your Messages area on the Dashboard.
