You will rarely exit the Mercury Direct Control Panel manually, because if you exit the Control Panel, you will not be able to send or receive orders and messages. However, you can close it manually, if desired.

To close the Mercury Direct Control Panel manually:

  1. Right-click on the Mercury Direct icon Image:Directhelpicon.jpg in the Windows system tray (at the lower right corner of the desktop, near the clock) and click Exit.
  2. When you receive a warning that “There is still (x) Mercury Direct Client connected to the Control Panel. What would you like to do?” To exit the Control Panel, click Yes. To leave the Control Panel running, click No.

NOTE: When you minimize the Control Panel (when you click the Image:MercuryDirectMinimize.jpg button to move the Control Panel to the task bar at the bottom of your screen), you must double-click the icon Image:Directhelpicon.jpg in the lower right hand corner of the desktop to bring it up on the desktop again, or right-click on the icon and the select Restore Mercury Direct Control Panel. When you minimize the Control Panel, you are not closing it - the Control Panel is still running.
