Address Verification Response Codes

When processing credit card transactions, you may see codes returned as part of the response. These codes are provided to help you assess risk against possible fraud.
Address Verification Codes
- A - Address only match
- D - Street and postal code match
- G - Issuing bank is non-participant
- N - Address and ZIP do not match
- R - Retry, system is unavailable
- S - Service not supported by issuer
- U - Unavailable
- X - Exact address and 9 digit ZIP match
- Y - Address and ZIP match
- Z - ZIP only match
