Your Windows default printer is the printer that Windows uses to print all print jobs outside of your FTD Mercury software. Once you have installed FTD Mercury, it is suggested that you check your system to make sure your default printer is correct.
To check your Windows default printer or to make changes to it:
- On the Windows Start menu, click Printers and Faxes. The Printers and Faxes window opens.
- Printers that Windows has detected are listed in this window. The default printer has a check mark next to the printer name. If the printer you want to use as your default Windows printer does not have the check mark next to it, right-click on the printer and click Set as Default Printer. The check mark will be put on the printer you just clicked on, denoting it as the new default printer.
- Close the Printers and Faxes window by clicking the Close buttonin the title bar.
