FTD Mercury allows you to generate several different reports to assist you in the daily operations of your shop. In addition to financial reporting functionality, the reports in this section are designed as business management tools. Most reports are generated and displayed in Microsoft Excel. The system retrieves information from your store’s database to generate each type of report. Once the report is displayed on your screen, you can save or print it.

IMPORTANT: This section discusses reports. For information on Marketing templates (standard templates and templates used with Mercury Marketing), see Marketing.

Accessing Business Reports

IMPORTANT: In order to use Business Reports, you must have full access to Reports in Mercury Administration. You can control employee access to Business Reports based on employee types.

To access FTD Mercury reports:

1. On the FTD Mercury Main Menu, click Business Reports.
2. Double-click Mercury Forms.
3. Double-click the name of the report you want to generate.
4. If you receive a security warning about the template containing macros, click Enable Macros. This is normal and the macros are required to generate the report.
5. Depending on the report, you may have to configure one or more windows to set necessary options for the report (such as a date range).
6. Click Finish to generate the report.

List of Business Reports

FTD Mercury provides the following business reports:

• Abbreviated Customer Master List with Balance Report - use to target customers with larger balances due for collection.
• Abbreviated Customer Master List with Days Late Report - use to target customers who are not current on payment of account balance.
• Aged Analysis Reports - an up to date list of house account balances including the length of time on each customer’s balance.
• Business Snapshot Report - an excellent scheduling and purchasing tool as it shows sales, deliveries and products sold for any date range.
• Credit Card Settlement History Report - get detail or summary reports of your credit card deposits for any date range.
• Customer Account Payment Report - used as a cross reference to confirm payments made on accounts.
• Customer Master List - a complete list of customers on file; useful for merging duplicates, purging inactive accounts, and targeting particular groups of customers.
• Employee Analysis Report - see how productive your employees are and compare them to each other for goals, raises, spiffs etc.
• Employee Sales Report - based off of the employee name selected in Order Entry and Point of Sale, this report is useful for determining the quantity of sales and total dollar value of sales for individual employees.
• Life Cycle Report - an important audit feature that provides information on all changes and updates to either orders or customers.
• Message Report
• Payment Type Totals Report
• Product Comparison Report - compare two date ranges or two locations to assist in inventory purchase decisions.
• Product Sales Reports - full scale analysis of product sales, not only by date but by product code and occasion.
• Reciprocity Report - analyze your filling and sending orders with other FTD florists, by the number of orders and dollar value.
• Report of Orders Filled - typically used to generate a list of phoned-in orders from different wire services as a means to report and receive credit for those orders in your system.
• Sales by Referral Code Report - analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs, by customers and dollar value.
• Sales Summary Report - for any sale or delivery date range, a summary of completed sales, with separate subtotals including walk in, phone orders, wire orders and payment types.
• Sales Tax Report - provides sales tax information for any date range to assist in reporting to your state or province. It is available either by sale or delivery date and either cash or accrual basis.
• Standing Order Log Summary Report & Standing Order Log Detail Report - provide a detailed or summary of customers with standing orders.
• Tax Exempt Customer Report - for any date range, a list of tax exempt customers’ activity; useful for keeping tax exempt records up to date if your state requires current registration of other information.
• Ticket Report
• Wire Reconciliation Report
• Wire Service Incoming/Outgoing Report - a list for any date range of all incoming and outgoing orders; helpful in reconciling statements from non-FTD wire services.
